From Wisconsin & Rauner -if we only knew what we know now
10/30/14 - McLean County Democratic Party
“ If we knew then what we know now” On Feb 11, 2011 newly elected Governor Scott Walker dropped a bomb on Wisconsin labor, including me and my fellow educators. He proposed a bill called Act 10, that would effectively take away all of our collective bargaining rights. Despite our efforts the bill eventually passed and the pain followed right behind.

Montgomery Burns, the wealthiest man on the Simpsons? a) I am adamantly, adamantly against raising the minimum wage. b) No. Not every job should be in America. c) Counties and municipalities, if the state allows them to, can choose for themselves whether to be right-to-work.

It is not always a supervisor standing over us saying, "get the job done now," sometimes we as technicians put the pressure on ourselves. We need to realize this concept and correct the problem where it exists. This is where the idea of safety over schedule comes in to play.
