The Area Wide Retirees meet monthly in various 1-C locations. They address issues confronting retirees as well as planning enjoyable and educational activities for the retired membership.

The Chaplaincy is a non-denominational group devoted to attending the spritual needs of all UAW members.

The Civil and Human Rights Committee protects the rights of all UAW members by providing training to local committees and delegates. They are also a resource when members feel their rights have been violated.

 This group meets monthly at various Region 1-C locations.

This group of active women meet one Saturday a month at the Region 1-C office in Flint.

This committee works to encourage the purchase of union and American made products and educating the public on the importance of doing so. This committee meets monthly at the Flint Region 1-C office.

The Veterans Association, besides providing support to each other and all Veterans, is a socially aware and active group. They meet quarterly at various locations.

The purpose of the Women's Council is to provide union women with a network for friendships, working toward common goals and concerns and inspiring and educating themselves. This insures and strenghtens our participation, on local and national levels, in politics and the development of action programs within the framework of the UAW.
